What's the easiest way to become happy?

I realize that there is no "route" to happiness. I am living in happiness when I forget myself, forget the search, live in the eternal present moment.  This is easiest for me when there are no distactions.  The happiest I have ever felt was in a remote area of Nevada, in the mountains, in total silence.

Yes, I can say that I am.  Sometimes, I have rushed ecstatically headlong into the next adventure and gone over a cliff, but it hasn't killed my longing for more

What qualities do you look for in a friend?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 07, 2007:

I don't look for qualities in friend at all, really.  I am either drawn to someone or I am not.  The qualities I seem to attract are playfulness, sensitivity, creativity, fantastic sense of humor, depth of sight and intelligence.  Sounds really general, I know, but there it is. 
I like to focus more on what qualities I bring to friendships.
